Galangal, also known as Thai Ginger is grown on the North Shore of Kauai, HI where the rich organic soil, year round sun-shine and pristine water create the perfect environment for this incredibly flavorful and aromatic root. Typically planted in April and tended to throughout the year, the Galangal is harvested between January through April the following year depending on a variety of factors. Renowned for it’s intense floral and spicy aromatics, Galangal has an earthy, bitter and spicy taste with citrus undertones.
